Routine?

Surely this word isn't being uttered by the Pond's. "Routine" has been absent from our vocabulary since Sarah found out she was pregnant with twins in September 2010. Since April, Natalie and Isaac have kept us guessing on any form of schedule for food, sleep, or play.

Everything changed on January 6th when they turned 9 months. Natalie started paving the way into the new world of "routine" by eating solids. She just started putting puffs in her mouth, and she absolutely loves "mum-mums". Isaac has been watching his sister, but he is taking a bit longer to figure it out.

After food time in their high-chairs comes the all-powerful "play-time". The puddles LOVE their time in their play area. It is full of wonderful, creative, colorful talking things. They can both crawl and pull up on EVERYTHING. Isaac loves to crawl all over his sister and Natalie tolerates it.

"Sleep" however is the most important part of this "routine" trifecta. They are consistently taking two naps during the day and a nice LONG sleep at night. The most important aspect is that they put themselves to sleep without a problem. No more late night rockings, no more late night feedings, no more zombie parents. God has truly blessed us with two amazing kids and we are very thankful.
