Family Time with Nate/Rosa Before They Head West

On our way back from our Florida trip, we decided to take a detour through Dallas to see my brother and his family.

My brother, Nathan, has been working at the Apple Store in Dallas as a Mac Genius for over 7 years now. He does a fantastic job helping people and fixing everybody's favorite computer, the Mac. Unfortunately, Rosa has been away from her family throughout their 8.5 years of marriage and has wanted to be physically closer to them for quite some time.

So after much interviewing via phone with stores on the west coast, my brother was offered a job at an Apple store in downtown Portland! They are extremely excited about the opportunity, but they are working feveriously to get their house packed and placed on the market.

Please be praying for:
1) Safe travels - Nate will be driving up to Portland with a co-worker on August 3rd. They will be driving over 2000 miles in a day and a half.

2) Selling their House - Rosa will remain in Dallas with Sanaa and Layla to sell their house. They will only stay for a month, so please pray the house will sell before the end of August.

3) New Job and New Town - Pray that they may have peace during any challenges that arise during the next few months. From the basics of finding a grocery store to the importance of finding a church family, there are many new things ahead that are both exciting yet nerve-racking.

Here are some pictures from our time with them on Thursday and Friday. Since Papa Gene and Gramma Carol are still on a Cruise in Australia, we stayed at their house and Nate, Rosa, and the girls came over to play. We definitely missed having the grandparents around.

Rosa had fun holding both babies

The girls: Rosa holds Natalie while Layla helps with the pacifier and Sanaa observes

Perfect picture of the girls with Natalie smiling as well

The Boys: Nate and Isaac enjoying some male bonding

My Friday morning greeting immediately when Sanaa came over to play:

Layla was constantly moving and never wanted to slow down

Sanaa learned how to water Gramma Carol's garden all by herself

Lunchtime with the girls

Sanaa loved to interact with the twins

I love the look Natalie's giving Rosa: "Are you my mommy?"
Caught the twins holding hands - too cute!

This was a great photo! Nathan and Caleb were sitting on the steps with the twins ready to have our picture taken. Sanaa was up stairs already, and she scooted down the steps on her own accord and looked straight at the camera. It was beautiful.

The Pond Families with everyone holding a baby. Sanaa was really the only one content to take a picture at the time. Isaac and Natalie were ready for dinner and Layla wanted to go walking somewhere else. Fortunately only Isaac decided to show his displeasure in the situation.

We had tons of fun, and the twins were thoroughly entertained by Sanaa and Layla. We will miss having you within driving distance, but we know that God has many wonderful new things in store for you.
