Our Puddles are Growing Up

When we look back on the growing years of our babies, the week of July 25th will be a very special one. We began giving solids to our children, rice cereal to be exact. (Even though it is still a substance that could be sucked through a straw, we follow suit and call it solids as well.) ........

Story time was actually entertaining to my boy. He moved his head from page to page to get a better look at "Clifford the Big Red Dog". Prior to reading, we decided to wrap him up in his sleep swaddle, aka mummy wrap.

PLAY TIME! We have two play mats now because one mat is not big enough for the two of them. Both of them absolutely love kicking their feet and grabbing for things. The mat on the left has a piano were they can kick a few notes to make a tune begin. We're training our kids to be organists.
Tummy Time has become a fun and exciting thing for both kids. By the end of the week, Isaac and Natalie were lifting their heads up like pros.

The BUMBO chairs have also become popular for the twins but we have to distract them somehow. In this pic, their distractions include playing with flexible balls and watching Toy Story on the TV. They can only go about 15 minutes at a time in the BUMBO chairs but it makes them work on their head control.

Celebrating Grammy's Birthday!

This is also the first week that Natalie . . .

. . . and Isaac have slept in their Cribs. They have been sleeping in the Pack N Play in our bedroom, but we decided to begin making the transition to their cribs for naps. Maybe they'll be sleeping in their beds during the night in a few weeks.

We have noticed their facial features changing as well.
