Christmas in Fayetteville

Trying to catch up on our blogs in the order that they occurred ...
On Christmas Day, my parents drove up from Dallas to beat the winter weather. It was a good thing because from Dallas all the way up to Fort Smith was impacted with ice and snow.

Our big project while they were here was to redo our dining room into a play room. We purchased a carpet remnant and put a soft pad under it. They have been LOVING having their own space!

Isaac has been so excited about playing basketball inside.

Natalie got a doll and crib for Christmas and has been in her own girl world ever since.

Snack time at their table from Papa Gene and Gramma Carol!

Snuggled up on our way into Cabela's with our Grandparents

Isaac in his football hat from Aunt Rosa

Awesome family frames from Mom and Dad

Puddles with the grandparents

First snow in NWA didn't effect roads but sure looked pretty.

What's not included in these photos was how awful the kids were feeling while the Grandparents were up here. They were coughing, had runny noses, and were just plain cranky. We decided to take the kids into their pediatrician the day before my parents left and found out they both had DOUBLE ear infections. We felt horrible that we waited so long to get them checked out.

Unfortunately, the kids passed on their virus to my dad before they left for Oregon.

Overall, it was a wonderful Christmas vacation down in Fort Smith and Fayetteville with both sets of Grandparents. It was so much fun to see how they enjoyed family and opening presents. It's Amazing the difference a year makes when they really just enjoyed playing in boxes last year.
